International Exhibition: Risk Change

In the fourth exhibition "episode" of the Risk Change project, we will once again deal with one of the most controversial phenomena of today: migration processes.

GROWING UP – the Fair of Joy without Limits for Children and Parents

From September 6 to 8 the Fair for Children and Parents GROWING UP will be held at the Zagreb Fair. During three days, children, parents and childcare professionals will be able to enjoy over 70 hours of free programmes and a rich offer of exhibitors. Workshops, dance group performances, krav maga, foreign language lessons etc. will be prepared for children.   For parents the fair will provide instructive lectures (play therapy, mindfulness, natural parenting, children’s rooms according to Feng Shui principles) and for future mothers a special programme called The magic of pregnancy by Vježbaonica (Exercise room) with useful information about pregnancy, childbirth and babies.   We wish to highlight the expert meeting on the use of assistive technology in the education and teaching system focusing on the latest technological advancements designed for children with neurological differences.   Working hours of the fair: 10,00 – 19,00 h. Admission to Growing Up and parking around the Zagreb Fair grounds is free.

Rastoke trail

Did you know that water village Rastoke is oasis preserved by nature, green and unique harmony between man and nature, and they are located in the second most welcoming place in the world.   Discover the beauty of city Slunj and water village Rastoke at the first race of Rastoke trail in September 07 th 2019. The tourist board city of Slunj in cooperation with the sport club Ak Plitvice is organizing a race, and all information and applications are at: https://www.stotinka.hr/eng/dogadjaj/952   Date and place of maintenance: September 07 th 2019. Rastoke, city of Slunj   Challenge yourself and sign up for one of two trails: Long Trail (12 km): the path is  designed - for beginners but also for those who want to try on something easier. The path consists through forest Jelvik and the Korana river and it is special for a short entrance to the cave and running across the pontoon bridge. The track is completely marked with reflective tracks and various marks. On this track, the organizer has prepared aid stations with drinks and food. Short Track (7 KM): a track designed for beginners but also for those who are something more experienced. The path consists of one circle and goes through the beautiful nature. Most of the track goes along the river itself and it is special for a short entrance to the cave and running across the pontoon bridge. The track is fully marked with reflective tracks and various marks. Short track goes by most of the same track as long track so if you are out of shape, make sure you choise a shorter version. Rijeka Boat Show

The Port of Rijeka traditionally becomes the hotspot for all nautical lovers in late September and this year the famous nautical fair Rijeka Nautic Show will be reimagined as the Rijeka Boat Show. From Friday, 27 September, all the way to Sunday, 29 September, all nautical enthusiasts, boaters, sailors, sports and recreational anglers will get to enjoy another iteration of this nautical fair at the Karolina Riječka pier. A large number of exhibitors at the event will showcase their selection of vessels, boat engines and equipment from global manufacturers.

Ri Gastro - Porto Etno

The best ingredients from culinary traditions and cultures of countries whose minorities live and work in Rijeka and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County as well as the cuisine of immigrants from all over the world will pepper the flavours and scents of our city, which is renowned for being multicultural and welcoming. As part of the Porto Etno World Music and Gastronomy Festival, the Kitchen of Diversity flagship provides the perfect embodiment of the Port of Diversity slogan, under which Rijeka bears the prestigious title of the European Capital of Culture 2020, all the while helping create new spaces for socialising and fostering tolerance and solidarity. Also embracing this spirit of multiculturalism are Rijeka's caterers, who will be preparing dishes according to traditional recipes of the inhabitants of Rijeka, originating from all over Europe and the rest of the world, that visitors will be able to enjoy during the special edition of the Ri Gastro Porto Etno event.

Ston Untold

Ston Untold - interactive theatrical tour for visitors who wish to experience the main amenities of Ston in a unique way and meet key figures from its history. Based on historical facts, and focused on the turbulent and exciting period of renaissance, the tour reveals some peculiar stories and legends of Ston not known to many, just as well guarded secrets of its residents through the ages.   Ancient Ston`s poets and playwrights, princes and soldiers, fairies and troubadours, women artists and rebels shed light on every corner and until now untold secrets of the town of Ston.   Starting point is at Ston saltworks, August 24, at 10 a.m. Visitors will meet actors who will guide them throught Ston`s main historical attractions.

Site-specific play which will change your perception of the Kaštio fortress and introduce you to the history, tradition, cultural heritage and artistic works of Ston in a spectacular blend of audio-visual technologies, interactive installations, immersive projections, light show and live performances.   Through poetic daydreaming of Antun Sasin, Ilija Crijević and other renaissance literati of Ston, the ambience of the Kaštio fortress is transformed into an arcadian landscape of a renaissance pastoral play where the natural and fantastical meet. This pastoral play will take you to a dream- like place where time has stopped.   The play features original artists from Ston and the surrounding area, local folklore associations, a capalle groups and surprise musical guests.
